Trains: Here’s one from way back, Film Days, circa 1975. Without any proof, I think this may have been about the time Union Station in Los Angeles began to think in terms of upgrades. A few months after this humorous juxtaposition, I made a print for this old fellow, found a Metro guy who knew him immediately and we thus located him. I was not good at documenting back then, did not get his name, unfortunately or any particulars. But, the executive who found him for me said that he had worked there for several decades and had done many, many jobs. At this point, I think, he may have been on the final lap.

Earlier today, I saw this post from Screen Gems, Orson arriving via taxi for the premiere of his great film on May 1st, 1941, at the RKO Palace Theater. However, someone took it upon themselves to colorize it, something I have utter disdain for. So, I took the liberty of restoring it to its former black & white elegance.
